Paolo and Picasso

Since couture my mind has been swirling with dreams of everything over-the-top and luxurious. The subject of many of those dreams has been the work of fine jeweler Paolo Costagli, a Florentine whose architecturally inspired line I stumbled upon at Neiman Marcus.  His pieces are also carried at Bergdorf Goodman, Betteridge, and in his 5th Avenue boutique in New York.  Don't you think his designs look absolutely perfect paired with portraits of Picasso's muse Dora Maar?  Maar is one of my ultimate style icons, even though a few black and white photos and these abstract portraits are all that I have to glean inspiration from.  But just as a single piece is often more inspiring than the whole, the fiercely unique essence I attribute to Maar is enough to allow me to imagine her gracefully styled in Costagli’s pieces.
